I will be releasing PEOPLE… as a four-track digital EP on 5 November 2011.

The track listing will include the album version of PEOPLE…(naturally), together with IN HEAVEN FOR A CONFERENCE (Tabular Version), THE COP CAR HAND HEEL WHEEL TURN and an early rough mix of PEOPLE…

The EP will be released via Reverbnation and Bandcamp, as per normal. Links to follow closer to the event.

These seem to have been sorted…

…essentially, although I uploaded graphics and wavs over a month ago, I neglected to enter a description of the album, thus rendering the submission process incomplete, and thereby sending the album into a state of limbo, CD Baby-wise.

It does seem to be a small matter on which to trip myself up, and it would have been nice to get an e-mail from CD Baby along the lines of “ooops, you submitted an album to us a week ago, but you forgot to add a description for the album. This is a crucial part of the process and you may need to extract the digit fairly lively if you want your album distributed”, particularly since I’ve already handed over the e-spondulicks. But still, if it was my mistake, it was my mistake. All I can do is learn from the experience and pass on my newly acquired knowledge to you. At the end of the day, no harm was done, particularly to dumb animals… I’ve had a good experience with CD Baby up to now, and I’d be slow to move away from them.

Hopefully, the album will start showing up in various online retail outlets over the next few weeks. I’ll keep you updated on progress.

Having some issues in getting the album onto CD Baby (and thereafter the known digital universe). I won’t get into details here, just in case I might say something inaccurate, unfair or jes’ plain dumb. Hopefully it’ll be resolved shortly. Further comments at that juncture…

Well, I’ve done the pro-active element of the promo work, which involved sending out over 700 e-mails with links to an electronic press kit  for the album, which various media elements (radio/print/blogs) can download. There has been some download activity already. It’s slow, but hopefully it will pick up. No reviews as yet.

That’s pretty much all I can do for the moment. If I get some interest from the media, I’ll respond to it. If not, then c’est la vie – chalk it down to the triumph of optimism over experience, which is what the album is about, innit?

As I type, I’m uploading audio files to CD Baby, so hopefully the album will get broad distribution (including iTunes) within a very short period of time. I’ll keep you informed of any developments.

Since this is practically the end of the journey, I’d like to thank everyone who’s shown an interest in the project to date. As per normal, I’ll be kicking off a new blog and a new project after Christmas. You might be interested in that also.

And finally, and totally coincidentally, I was in Brussels last week and came across a piece of graffiti which  linked serendipitously (and uncannily) to the album track, A TRUTH YOU CAN HAPPILY ACCEPT…
